White House Press dinner

#1 Post by k.d. » Sun Apr 29, 2018 10:24 am

The annual White House Press dinner was last night. They usually have some decent entertaining comedians or speakers, but not last night. This broad was horrible. I would go out of my way to avoid her.

Hmm never heard of her. Seem's like a Trump protege, using insults and profanity to fire up a base. The room did seem to like her. I bet her income level and employability will be increasing. I do sympathize with conservatives, they don't seem to be able to counter with anybody that's actually funny.

Not a conservative trait. The Church of The Perpetually Offended has been not-laughing at Rush Limbaugh's jokes for 30 years, for example.

Ah yes, Rush. You got me there. I was actually really trying to think of one when I posted this. The only one I could up with was Dennis Miller who was once funny. I'll now add the reinvented Rosie Barr. Other than those three ??????. It does seem like the libs pretty much have a monopoly on getting paid for their humor.

But I've often wondered if all the stupid, dangerous and nasty things that Trump says is all tongue in cheek, and the joke is really on me. When you hear Trump insist that Mexico will pay for the border wall at his rallies and watch the backdrop of handpicked droolers go crazy with joy and exhilaration, it kind of make you wonder if this was meant to be comedic relief.

That's the kind of stupid question only a Democrat would ask.
