A young child is back with his family after being snatched from his front yard in Appleton.

He was taken Tuesday night, and found and hour later with a man who has a history involving sex crimes against children.

Police learned 28-year-old Joseph Skenandore was missing from this home for people with special needs. The home is not far from the young boy's house.

About an hour after the boy disappeared, the search ended at Kiwanis Park. The family was relieved to find the 3-year-old, but outraged that Skenandore was with him.

“We did learn that the child had been sexually assaulted,” said Appleton Police Sergeant Pat DeWall.

Authorities said the suspect inappropriately touched the young boy.

Skenandore also told police that he probably would have killed the child if he hadn't been caught.

Stop releasing these people they cannot be helped and have no place being in public.

Just do like the Catholic Church did for many, many years, move them to a different town.

It appears that their solution is acceptable in many peoples eyes as it continued for numerous years and with numerous pedophiles.

You are also wrong as I have no sympathy for these scum bags. They should castrate them prior to a sentence of life in prison. Unlike you my concerns are for the victims. I believe in aggressive prosecution of child molesters and not the cover up that has gone on for far to long.
