Trump's Big Beautiful Wall

#1 Post by j.p. » Fri Dec 29, 2017 5:41 pm

Not only does Trump want piss away taxpayer money to the tune of $ 70 billion for the construction plus $ 150 million per year for the maintenance of his wall. He also wants to blackmail the Dems and most of the Repubs with the lives of of 800,000 americans (dreamers) to get his monument to himself built.

He is adding evil to stupid with this one.

This is some sort of NEWS FLASH? Trump ran on building the wall. Guess what? He won the election partially on building the wall and many of his base are pissed off that he hasn't followed through fast enough. BUILD THAT WALL AND LOCK HER UP!

His basket of little people thinks the mexicans are paying for it. That's what he ran on.

This kind of condescension, self-importance, and haughtiness by you people is exactly why Trump won.

Well, they did think the mexicans were paying for Trump's wall, right ? Frankly, it would be unavoidable to garner some feelings of self-importance in comparison to people who would believe that shit.

The main issue was immigration. Immigration from known terrorist nations. Remember all those court decisions saying Trump couldn't stop Abdul from coming here? But regardless, let's see if there is a wall built and who the eventual payer is. Obviously there is more than one way to finance something and even more ways to pay for it.

The actual quote is "basket of deplorables," a statement of breathtaking condescension that probably cemented her loss more than any other single remark.

Disclaimer required because some folks don't understand it is possible to despise both candidates: I do not support either.

Poor choice of words on Hillary's part. The Trumpers adopted the meme as a badge of honor. If you read more of her quote she decribed "deplorable" as the following:

racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic.

Which one of these characteristics would you say is not deplorable ?

All of those characteristics are deplorable. but it was not a poor choice of words, it was exactly what she believes as evidenced by her behavior over 25 years in the national spotlight. She is an arrogant person who truly believes she is better than the rest of us and "at least half" of the people who see the world differently are racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, etc. In that moment of honesty the mask fell off and anyone with eyes could see her and was appalled. She is pretty much the only person who would make a more horrifying president than Trump.
